At PK, we are very aware of the importance of ensuring that our suppliers obtain their timber from sustainably managed forest resources. Such resources ensure that timber remains one of the most renewable, natural and environmentally friendly of standard building materials. For this reason we are suppliers of FSC, MTCC, SGS and PEFC certified timber.
Parker Kislingbury obtained FSC certification in October 2004, which was followed up in 2007 by PEFC certification, as well as Forest Products, which covers many other certification schemes such as MTCC, SFI, CSA, OLB, SGS. PK is also a member of the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) and we fully endorse the Responsible Purchasing Policy (RP).
We work hard to ensure that the most environmentally friendly solution is found at every stage of our processes: from sourcing timber to transportation, right through to the design and manufacture of our products, we ensure that environmental standards are always adhered to.
